The biodiversity collection of the Tyumen Region was founded in 1935 by professor A. Sharonov, Department of Natural Sciences.
Along with collections of taxidermied animals and skins of mammals of the Tyumen Region, it includes ancient antiquities from academic Severtsev’s personal archives.
