UTMN Library and the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities met colleagues from Novosibirsk and Tomsk to discuss the main problems and prospects of the book publishing industry.
The forum’s main topic is "Book Culture as a Socio-Communicative Phenomenon in Theoretical, Historical and Prognostic Aspects.
Three days of intensive work in different formats are behind us: plenary sessions, reading of reports, presentations of publishing projects on the University of Tyumen and the Mendeleev Tyumen Regional Research Library platform.
This year the forum reached an international level and included speakers from more than ten cities and eight countries (the UK, Turkey, France, Canada, Switzerland, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and USA).
The participants discussed the current problems of transformation of all fields of the book industry, associated with the digitalization and virtualization of book production processes.
